We are a dedicated group of parents and staff who work together to support and enhance the fun and educational experience at Conant Elementary School. Our mission is to manage events, share news, and foster a strong community that helps our students thrive. A Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents, teachers and staff who work together to support their school. PTOs can cover a wide range of areas, including:
- Fundraising - PTOs can plan fundraising events to help the school achieve its curricular and fundraising goals
- Enrichment - PTOs can provide enrichment opportunities for students, such as school and family enrichment programs
- Community Engagements - PTOs can organize events like book fairs or family nights to promote community and a sense of togetherness
- Supplies - PTOs can support teachers, staff, and students by providing classroom, playground and building supplies
- Volunteering - PTO members can volunteer their time to help with student activities and events, such as school and district sponsored events
- Communication - PTOs can help bridge communication between parents, teachers, and administrators
Parents can support their Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) in many ways, including:
- Volunteering - Parents can volunteer their time and resources to help with a variety of tasks, such as:
- Organizing fundraisers
- Attending PTO board meetings
- Managing school programs and communications
- Planning events for the community
- Donating - Parents can donate goods and materials to support the PTO, such as school supplies, decorations, and food/drink to help stock the teacher lounge
- Pay your dues - It is a small annual fee per family to kick off the new school year; paying your dues upfront gives the PTO a small budget to get started on the first few events of the year
- Joining the board - Parents can join the PTO board by expressing interest to the current President(s); the best way to start is by introducing yourself to any or all of the board members, attend the bi-monthly meetings and volunteer to be the lead on event committees
All of these things really help to support the organization
Conant Elementary PTO meetings are hosted at the school on Wednesday mornings after drop-off. The meetings start promptly at 9:30am with the exception of the February 24 meeting which starts at 6:30pm. The meeting dates for the 2024/2025 school year are as follows:

- Wednesday, November 13th
- Wednesday, January 15th
- Wednesday, February 24th
- Wednesday, March 12th
- Wednesday, April 16th
- Wednesday, May 14th
- Wednesday, June 4th
